These pics were all shot near the train station in Albany.

Just looking down the station platform. Since no trains are present (yet), it's kinda boring here... |
Same platform, looking the other way. No trains yet |
Amtrak's train 263 approaches the station. |
Close-up of 263. Eventually, this train will split.. The diesel will be swapped for an older F40PH. |
Head-end of 263. I caught *another* PCRRHS member (Gene Fusco) in the pic! |
The Genesis unit has uncoupled from the train... and has since pulled ahead of it during it's run-around move. It has also pulled a coach with it... and is going to back up onto another track. |
Shot this excellent pic, while the engine was pulling forward. |
A glance down at the P32's truck... which is completely different from an EMD truck. The red-white-and-blue dots on this engine aren't applied individually... but a big decal! That's right, a decal! Its all clear film, but with the dots printed on it. |
This F40 appears to be heading over to the shops. |
With the P32 out of the way, an EMD F40PH can now back up and couple to its train. |
On the left, is one of Amtrak's newer "Genesis" units, while an EMD F40PH leads up the other train. Soon, the Genesis will pull out... and run towards the shops on its way out of town... followed by the F40 and the other train. |
Amtrak 707, is the power for today's train. It's still in it's as-delivered paint scheme... which is now outdated. |
This is an interesting mix of modern Amtrak locomotives. On the left is a 1970s-era EMD F40PH, painted in the 'phase 3' scheme. On the right, are two Genesis units, one in the 'phase 3' scheme of r/b/w stripes, and one in the current scheme. |

Next to the guy, there's a small blue flag attached to the Amcoach's coupler. The flag means, "Don't move this, until whoever put it there removes it." |
